In the summer of 2016, our family embarked on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure: a voyage to a remote island in the Pacific Ocean. We had always dreamed of sailing away to a faraway land, and now, with our two young children in tow, we were finally making it a reality.

We named our boat Sunfish, and she quickly became a member of our family. We spent countless hours sailing together, exploring the coastline of our home state of California. But our biggest adventure was yet to come.

In the spring of 2017, we set sail for the island of Nuku Hiva, in the Marquesas Islands. The journey was long and arduous, but we persevered, and in the end, we were rewarded with an experience that we will never forget.

Nuku Hiva is a beautiful island, with lush rainforests, towering mountains, and crystal-clear waters. We spent our days hiking, swimming, and exploring the island's many hidden coves. We also met the friendly locals, who welcomed us with open arms.

Our time on Nuku Hiva was a life-changing experience for our family. We learned about a new culture, we made new friends, and we grew closer as a family. We also learned that the world is a big and beautiful place, and that there is always something new to discover.
