Mao Zedong is one of the most controversial figures in modern history. As the founder of the People's Republic of China, he led a revolution that transformed the country and had a profound impact on the world. However, Mao's legacy is also marred by violence and repression, and his policies have been blamed for the deaths of millions of people.

In his new book, Mao Reinterpreted, Lee Feigon offers a fresh and nuanced perspective on Mao Zedong. Drawing on extensive research and original sources, Feigon argues that Mao was a complex and contradictory figure, whose policies and actions were often driven by a desire to create a more just and equitable society. Feigon also shows how Mao's ideas and policies evolved over time, in response to the changing circumstances of China and the world.

Mao Reinterpreted is a groundbreaking new book that challenges traditional views of Mao Zedong. Feigon's reassessment of Mao is sure to spark debate and controversy, but it is an essential read for anyone interested in modern Chinese history.
